The word “policy” can be a real turn-off for some, but policy matters a whole lot in global nutrition. Right now global nutrition receives just 0.5% of U.S. funding for foreign assistance  - just $95 million - despite the fact that nutrition is an essential ingredient to improving maternal and child health, reducing preventable childhood deaths and improving livelihoods. We need a lot more voices to join the conversation. As an individual we can get nutrition to a child, but as a mobilized community we can advocate for policies that impact the futures for the 2 billion people suffering from malnutrition. Influencing policy can have a really big impact.  Here’s a few ways to get involved:
